We hope you and your family are all well and looking forward to resuming some degree of normality now lockdown is beginning to be lifted. As you may be aware, dental practices have been given permission to re-open their doors from Monday 8th June, as long as all new Covid-19 safety measures recommended by the Department of Health are in place. Dental practices have always prioritised infection control to ensure treatment is safe for both patients and staff, and we will be putting those additional measures in place to provide reassurance and confidence for everyone.
As a result of these measures, there will be some changes at your next appointment as outlined below:
- We will contact you by telephone the day before your appointment/or on booking to ask some Covid screening questions, and you will be asked these questions again at your appointment to ensure nothing has changed.
- You should attend your appointment alone, with the exception of persons accompanying a minor or someone who requires assistance, and please refrain from bringing additional coats, bags, etc with you.
- You will be asked to ring the practice from your car on your arrival so we can manage the movement of people through the building and ensure social distancing, and you may be asked to wait in your car until we let you know it is appropriate to enter.
- On entering you will be asked to use the hand sanitiser provided and your temperature may be taken using an infra-red thermometer. You will also be required to rinse with an anti-viral mouthwash prior to your treatment.
To give us time to accommodate and adjust to the new measures, we will be opening in a phased manner from the 8th June, with fewer options for appointment times initially available but with the aim of expanding our service as soon as appropriate.
Please DO NOT attend the practice without an appointment or prior consultation.
Your support and understanding during the past weeks since we had to close our doors has been invaluable and we are extremely grateful for your continued loyalty. We are looking forward to getting back to work and to being able to provide safe quality dental care for all our patients.
